Today in Interpersonal Communication we came across an interesting topic-how we as individuals come into conversations with different experiences and rules that shape how we interact with one another. I had thought of this before and it struck me especially hard. Throughout my life I have always been taught to treat people how I would want to be treated (the golden rule). My mother was a big supporter of this and I have to say she is the main support in how I treat people today. You never know what someone else has been through. You may never know what they are hiding deep down. Before you come at someone negatively or stereotype them think of the things that have changed you-they have been changed by things too.
